Current Projects
Recently, Henry has been especially focused on the Music of Johann Sebastian Bach, performing various suites, preludes and fugues, and the monumental Goldberg Variations. Henry utilizes Bach’s Goldberg Variations to show a reciprocal and beautifully circular view of life, which he views makes Goldberg unique among other keyboard compositions.

Biography
As a pianist, Henry strives to highlight the beauty of counterpoint that makes solo piano performance unique. Utilizing intense, dramatic, and often untraditional interpretation, Henry’s playing shines a light on the beauty of polyphony with an emphasis on clarity and a beautiful singing sound.

In addition to Bach, Henry recently performed a solo recital to benefit the Bronx School of Music, the program including works by Mozart, Schumann, Liszt, and Grieg, and which generated money to fund the music education of kids in NYC. Henry plans on continuing to work with organizations like the Bronx School of Music and use concerts like these to expose the younger generations to the beauty of classical music.
Now in his third year of study under professor HieYon Choi at the Peabody Institute of music, Henry began his music education when he was four years old at the Colburn school in Los Angeles and began to study the piano with Svetlana Transky, and later Regulo Martinez-Anton, at age seven. In his early teens, he discovered and fell in love with the piano music of the romantic era and has since devoted himself to sharing the beauty of the entire keyboard repertoire through concert.
Henry has attended and performed at many prestigious summer festivals including the Oberlin Piano Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Amalfi Coast Music & Arts Festival, Montecito International Music Festival, and the Interlochen Arts Festival, where he also found a love for chamber music. Henry has continued to pursue this passion for chamber music, performing works by Brahms, Beethoven, Mozart, Grieg, Rachmaninoff, Ewazen, and more.
